Attorney Wayne Wilson is an Estate Planning Law Specialist and Accredited Estate Planner® as certified by the National Association of Estate Planners and Councils and accredited by the American Bar Association. Wayne is the founder of Wilson Law Group, LLC; a founding member and former chairman of the Wisconsin Council of Estate Planning Attorneys; a fellow and three-time president of EPICOR (Estate Planning Institute of Collaborative Resources); a member and former two-term president of the Madison Estate Council; a member of WealthCounsel and a charter member of ElderCounsel; and a member of the State Bar of Wisconsin’s Elder Law and Real Property, Probate, and Trust Law sections. He has served on the board for the Alzheimer’s and Dementia Alliance.

Attorney Wilson is licensed to practice law in the State of Wisconsin, having been admitted to the Bar in 1973. He is also admitted to practice before the U.S. Supreme Court, U.S. Courts of Appeal, 7th and 8th Circuits, and the United States District Court, Eastern and Western Districts of Wisconsin. A 1970 graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Wayne earned a bachelor’s degree in political science followed by his law degree in 1973. Attorney Wilson is a frequent lecturer to various professional organizations concerning issues of wealth strategy counseling, with a special focus on programs designed for the professional advisor. He is the co-author of Generations: Planning Your Legacy (1999); Your Life, Your Legacy: The Fundamentals of Effective Estate Planning (2003 1st, 2005 2nd, and 2009 3rd editions); and Your Life, Your Legacy II: Protecting Those You Love (2013), as well as numerous articles on various estate planning issues.
